Meet the Founders of Clarkston Business Network

Our Story

Madeline and Jesica were connected via Kensington Church. Madeline came to Kensington to start a small group for Christian business owners, as God had instructed her to. Madeline is a professional public speaker and serial entrepreneur who started five businesses by the age of 30. God gave her the vision to teach business owners how to speak up and use their voice as a God-given free promotional tool while doing business in a selfless way. Madeline needed a space to host these meetings, and that’s where God saw a way to create a miracle.

Jesica desired a space where no one was silenced. A space where the social media algorithm didn’t determine whether your business could continue to support your family. A space where cancel culture doesn’t affect your sales or your freedom

Jesica was already building the groundwork for the Clarkston Business Network but didn’t want to run a third business solo. Madeline and Jesica went into business together in June 2023 and are actively building the framework of the already successful Clarkston Business Network to bring to other communities across the globe.

Nicole Rumble at Kensington connected Madeline with Jesica. Jesica has already secured the Clarkston Business Network LLC and started the build-out of a new luxurious co-working space in downtown Clarkston. Jesica was already paving the way for her vision to come true: building an incubator for like-minded entrepreneurs. It can be lonely as a business owner and fellowship is must for sustainable success. We know without a shadow of a doubt that when two or more are gathered, God is present (Matthew 18:20 paraphrase)

Jesica Spencer

Jesica Spencer is a Christian, a wife, a mother, a podcast host, and the owner of Spencer Real Estate. Jesica noticed she was loud enough about her values to repel some but not so loud that she attracted those who could stand with her. Clarkston Business Network was born from a need for a like-minded community as an entrepreneur. Jesica was born to be an entrepreneur. After several years in the real estate industry, Jesica identified a need in the community for a consumer-focused real estate company, so she built one from the ground up. Despite industry setbacks and the uncertainty of COVID-19, Jesica was still able to open her brick-and-mortar office in October 2020. Spencer Real Estate is located in the heart of Clarkston, Michigan. The office doubles as a free coffee shop AND workspace for the community. Jesica works daily to achieve a healthy work/life balance while exceeding her client’s expectations and coaching her team to do the same.

Madeline Cecilia Dunn

Madeline Cecilia Dunn is a motivational speaker, serial entrepreneur, and former professional ski mountaineer. Madeline has free-solo climbed and skied nearly all the volcanoes in the Pacific Northwest- including Mt. Rainier in 18 hours on the Kautz Ice Chute route. She has always gone for her goals, starting five companies before the age of 30 while working with major brands in the fashion, automotive, and sports industries as a sponsored athlete. What Madeline realized at the top of the summits she worked so hard to climb, literally and figuratively, was that instead of celebrating, she was already planning the next route. Being at the top of a mountain literally just makes you eye level with all the other peaks left to climb. Madeline coined herself as your “de-motivational” speaker- demotivating you from going after your goals so hard and instead, start serving the people God has placed on your path to live a happier and healthier life. When you live in faith and serve others, you get more than you could have ever imagined!

Madeline offers executive marketing consulting and is a coach for entrepreneurs wanting to scale their brands. Madeline has given two graduate commencement speeches, the keynote speech at Miss Detroit’s 501c3 fundraiser, has been featured in Forbes, was paid to be on the cover of Aspen Magazine, and has shared her story across dozens of podcasts, television news segments, and in a book.

Madeline mentors you to speak up about what you do by utilizing social-media-free visibility strategies to increase your business’s impact, influence, and income.
